Seeing as I am Jewish, when I saw the name Kosher Kush, you know I had to give it a try. I like to try various delivery services in Los Angeles and this time I tried one called Top Shelf Only. They had an amazing list of strains to choose from that all sounded great I didn’t even know where to begin. Luckily, they were super nice and helpful when it came to choosing a strain. When I saw Kosher Kush, I got excited because many people had told me to find and try this strain so it was a win-win for me. While the delivery did take some time due to traffic in LA, the driver was friendly and the overall transaction was easy. Seeing as I was a first-time patient, I was also given some extra goodies in my bag. If you live in the Los Angeles area, I’d definitely recommend you check out Top Shelf Only LA delivery for a wide variety of strains to choose from and good service to go along with it.

The weed had a deep green color to it with tons of visible orange hairs that were covered in crystals. It was truly a beautiful nug of weed to look at and I don’t think I’ve ever said that before. The smell of this strain was not super strong when I opened the bag, and it didn’t really get any stronger when I was grinding it up. It was actually pretty easy to grind up even though it was an extremely sticky strain. I will say that when you grind up a lot of weed, you only get a small amount in return, but that’s the price you pay for the really good stuff usually.
Kosher Kush is said to have THC levels as high as 29% so you know it’s not playing around. This particular strain comes from DNA Genetics and is a mix of Kosher and OG Kush. With that kind of lineage, of course, this strain is super heavy hitting. All of these attributes put together definitely made me ready to smoke this strain. I’m happy to report, it did not disappoint, rather it exceeded my expectations.
Kosher Kush smokes pretty smoothly but still has a little kick to it. The flavor was very interesting to me, not in a bad way, just different than most strains. It was earthy with a sweet undertone to it but in a unique way. It almost smells and tastes like you are outside sitting on the grass somewhere smoking and enjoying the fresh smell of the grass. I did enjoy the delightful taste of this strain, and even though the aroma wasn’t strong, it was good when you got it. Even though I enjoyed the smell, it wasn’t the best aroma of all time.

This weed was super heavy-hitting, I mean like immediately after I smoked it I was high. I was instantly zoned out and in my own little world. I couldn’t believe how quickly this hit me. I felt super chilled out but not quite couch-locked yet because first I raided my fridge for snacks. Appetite loss is one of the things this strain is said to help with, as well as stress, depression, insomnia, pain, and nausea. I honestly went back for snacks more than once, so if that is a deal-breaker for you, I do not recommend this strain. After some snack time, I eventually drifted off into an empty state of mind while also becoming couch-locked.
Since I have been smoking a long time, my tolerance is pretty high, but it was no match for the Kosher Kush. I truthfully have not felt that couch-locked in a very long time and I definitely enjoyed it. I would say those who are beginner smokers should use this with caution and I know I’ve said that before but this truly is a heavy-hitting strain. That’s not saying I didn’t mean it before, I just hadn’t smoked this in comparison yet. I will say that I had a bit of dry mouth which is one of the downsides to this strain. I didn’t feel like I was anxious or uneasy, I felt completely calm and that is something I love.
My experience with Kosher Kush was overall a good one and one I truly enjoyed. I felt instantly high and calm without any really bad side effects. This strain will have you empty-minded and couch-locked in the best way possible. The appearance of this strain is beautiful and the flavor was pretty unique, making this strain one you’ll want to try. If you see Kosher Kush, I definitely recommend you give it a go and experience this heavy-hitting strain for yourself.
