Versace - Higher Path Collective - Sativa Dominant Hybrid

As Gianni Versace once said, “I think it’s the responsibility of a designer to try and break the rules and barriers.” While he was talking about fashion at the time, I believe this quote also relates to different strains of weed and how they are created. Named after the Versace family, this strain from Higher Path Collective definitely pushes the boundaries of what weed can be. The Versace strain comes from an incredible mix of three major strains of weed including Sour Diesel, OG Kush, and Granddaddy Purp. Sour Diesel’s head buzz adds stimulating alertness to Granddaddy Purp and OG Kush’s sensational body effects giving you a balanced body and mind high.

I ordered this particular strain from Top Shelf Only Delivery LA, which is a delivery service in Los Angeles that has an amazing variety of strains to choose from and were very helpful when I had questions. They are located in the West Hollywood area and are open Sunday to Wednesday from 11 am to 2 am, and Thursday – Saturday from 11 am to 3 am. They have their own website you can order from and see full descriptions of each strain. If you are in the Los Angeles are visiting or you just live here, head over to https://topshelf.delivery/ and check it out for yourself.

After receiving my delivery, I opened up the bag it was sealed in to give Versace a good smell, and it was phenomenal. The aroma was strong but not overpowering which I do enjoy, and smelled like I was walking through a flowery garden on a nice summer day. The piney scent is mixed with a fruity and sweet element resulting in this magnificent and unique smell. The nugs of this strain were dense with some orange hairs and crystals on it. It was overall beautiful and truly a nice strain to look at. It had been trimmed nicely and definitely grown in a good environment. Although it was dense, the weed broke up pretty easily, not super easy but not super hard. It was pretty sticky but once I got it into the grinder, it was smooth sailing from there. The nugs ground up into a lovely pile of weed ready to be smoked.

The flavor of this strain is something, unlike most strains I’ve had in the past. It was flowery and earthy with a hint of berries thrown in the mix. The weed smoked pretty smooth, although I did cough a bit, but I believe that was more due to the dry mouth. The other downsides to Versace are said to be dry eyes or dizziness, neither of which I personally felt. It is also said to help with stress, pain, depression, muscle spasms, and insomnia, but it did not make me feel tired in any way, it just made me feel relaxed. Versace is also said to make you feel happy, relaxed, euphoric, uplifted, and focused. I did feel focused throughout the day and was certainly at ease.

Immediately after smoking this, I could feel it in my head and eyes. I was uplifted and into a euphoric yet focused mood. The effects began in my head allowing me to relax and settle in, and then slowly began to take over my body, relaxing my muscles and relieving any pain I had. This strain gave me an uplifting high that turned into a blissful body high with time. Versace gave me the energy to go out and do errands I don’t normally love to do while staying in an overall happy state of mind. Versace has moderately high THC levels but nothing too overwhelming, however, I would recommend that new smokers take this slow and let it hit you. While it may seem like a silly thing to say, this strain will hit you pretty hard when the full effects kick in after some time.

Versace is a strain that definitely ranks in the top tier in my opinion, but I would not say it’s my all-time favorite. The appearance was honestly so pretty, it surprised me in a good way, and the aroma was definitely something I enjoyed. The overall effects of this strain were good for me, I was completely at ease while still getting my work and errands done. The flavor of this strain stood out most to me. It reminded me of being in a big field of flowers on a sunny day, and I truly loved it. I would definitely recommend this strain to people who suffer from stress and pain, as I felt very calm and generally good all day. I would also recommend this to those who suffer from ADHD as I do because this strain truly helped me keep focused and do what needed to be done. If you see Versace somewhere when you buy weed, I say give it a try and enjoy feeling high class and relaxed all day.
